My family and I travel from Hot Springs just to come here. There used to be a location in Benton beside Tinseltown and one in North Little Rock. Frozen Custard is amazing.

I've never had frozen custard before, but because of this place I now love it more than ice cream! The consistency is so creamy! They have a large selection of sweet treats on their menu. It looks like a sonic drive in, but you have to park your car and get out to order at the front, or you can go through the drive-thru. They have a few tables outside under the shade of the trees where you can sit when the weather is nice.

Yummy ultra creamy custard, real fruit mixed in a nice bonus. I had a small raspberry cheesecake custard, and it made for a great dessert. Service was really friendly too. Great custard, would visit again.

Only yesterday I learned that I am a big fan of frozen custard. I sampled Andy's Frozen Custard in Jonesboro, AR yesterday, and now that I have tried Shake's, I can make an assessment between the two. Both were incredibly smooth. I can't think of anything to make a textural comparison to this velvety delight. Also, they both had a very rich flavor. The complexity of the chocolate and coffee were very nice. I ordered concretes at both locations. I just enjoy a dense cup of frozen custard. The two establishments diverge at their ability to stay frozen. Andy's stayed frozen longer. I never felt rushed to slurp up pools of melted custard. Shake's began to melt immediately, though the outside temperature was cooler when I ate it. I'm a fast eater and I still had to try to outpace the melting treat. They both taste great, but given the choice, I'll have to go with Andy's with their Cryogenian delicacy.

My friends who live in Little Rock are so lucky that they have this place! I had never tried frozen custard before, but it turns out that I'm a huge fan. It's so creamy, dense, and soft! I like it more than gelato! If they opened a shop in NYC, they wouldn't even need to call it "gay" to have lines of hipsters wrapping around the block for this stuff. (I hope you're listening, Shakie, hint, hint.) One tip, if you're watching your weight, stick to the pure scoops without all the toppings -- it doesn't need it.

Stopped in here after lunch for something sweet and I ordered the bopper sundae. It was fine. I gobbled it down in no time...I greatly enjoyed it. The only thing I regret is that I didn't order two!

I LOVE this place! I wish there was a place like this in California. Their custard is so good!

I tried their chocolate single scoop in a cone, basically it was a creamy version of Wendy's chocolate frosty. Their serving sizes were very generous, single scoop looked like a double (bonus star). Even though I went through the drive-thru and there isn't much customer service interaction, the woman at the window was still very nice! Worth a try to satisfy the ice cream craving.

Shake's is one of the lights of my life. I've grown up eating their custard and its still my favorite ice cream/custard place ever (and I eat at a lot of ice cream places). The Heavenly Angel is divine (pun intended?) and the chocolate concrete with strawberries is definitely a good idea.

I finally found what true love is!!! Let's be real... I knew I always loved ice cream and definitely did not care that one serving is half a cup when in reality, we all eat 2 in one sitting. But after discovering Shake's, I think I just have a serious addiction. Creamy, smooth, well-blended. and just simply amazing, my only regret is sharing one with the boyfriend (fine, he did buy it). Made with more cream than ever, this stuff is well made, blended perfectly, and purely delicious. I tried the oreo and also oatmeal cookie dough. Each was perfect and not overly sweet. Flip them upside down and they're not suppose to fall out! Simply AMAZINNNNNG!! In the end, I'm glad I don't live here because they would own my whole paycheck.

Pretty good sundae 's. I tried the big bopper which was pretty good. It had vanilla chocolate fudge , Carmel , big whole pecans and a cherry. This was my first time to ever try custard. It was good ,kind of more creamy than regular ice cream. My wife got a bana split. My son ordered chocolate covered in gummy worms. It was more than we could finish and the cost was about 13 dollars and some change.

Great product, good prices, nowhere to sit and a Sonic vibe. If you just want to pickup a shake on the run a great spot. If you want somewhere to sit and enjoy it opt for Big Orange or Loblolly.

This place is amazing and I go here probably 2-3 times a week. Highly recommended if you like thick and creamy custard (no homo)

Say you're a crackhead. (Just go with me here). And you NEED THAT CRACK! And then you stumble upon the SUPER AFFORDABLE CRACK EMPORIUM! This place is my emporium, and I am a crackhead. Actually, I'm a custardhead. And Shake's is MECCA. This is seriously the best dessert place in Little Rock. I always get the Big Bopper (the sundaes are named after 50s people and references), which is vanilla custard with caramel sauce, hot fudge, cherries and these INSANE toasted and salted pecans that I could eat 24/7. The custard is super thick and creamy and comes in specialty sundaes or "concretes," which are custard cups filled with your choice of toppings or flavors. Next time you need a fix, drive thru this place. You will not be disappointed. Seriously, it makes frozen yogurt taste like 1% milk.

Our first experience with Shakes custard was pretty good. The base is excellent in either vanilla or chocolate custard with a wide variety of add-ins. I enjoyed the brownie concrete. Not sure about the concrete title? It was pretty good. The service was quick and the people are nice enough. My sons was prepared incorrectly and it was corrected in a flash. It was a great 10pm sweet treat solution.

I was so glad to find Shake's! Formerly Shakey's, this place is the best in town for custard. It's smooth, creamy, and relatively cheap--when you compare the price to Cold Stone, Maggie Moo's, or Yogurt Mountain. There are so many mix-ins to choose from--a wide variety of fruit and candy. Try the blueberry, raspberry, or mix the two with vanilla custard. It will change your life. Service is really quick, even during the summers, when it's extraordinarily busy. You can eat in your car, or get out and sit at the benches. Either way, a wonderful treat. Shake's is one of my favorite dessert places in Little Rock. Service is always great and it's a superb way of killing a half hour and 500 calories. =)

The concretes are very delicious here. The custard complements the toppings nicely. Also, they're very generous about topping portion sizes, that for anyone who loves confections, would enjoy very much.

Doesn't get better than frozen custard. So rich and creamy. I get the concrete with pecans, mmmmm! Not cheap but you'll be addicted and ready to pay anything for a fix!

A road trip indulgence which satiated a hungry sweet tooth (and then some!) - Pumpkin spice "concrete" was good but the marshmallow goo was way too sweet. - Much better was the chocolate banana sundae with pecans I concocted - Friendly server-- hooked me up with a free topping - Drive up/thru only

I absolutely love Shake's! I would choose frozen custard over ice cream or gelato any day. My favorite is a vanilla concrete with strawberries and chocolate shavings mixed in. I tried to mix it up one day and tried another flavor- was good, but couldn't compete with the previous named concoction. Service is fine- it's only a drive through, after all. Prices are high, but not any higher than Cold Stone Creamery, Maggie Moo's, or the like.

The parking lot makes you kinda go wtf. But custard is yum yum yum with the fresh fruits. (Shared a pink poodle)

Formerly known as Shakey's Frozen Custard, this place is pretty decent. I came during here during customer appreciation day where their concrete (which is basically custard and your choice of toppings) was buy one get one free. I had the strawberry concrete and it was delicious, especially with the amount of strawberries they put in it. The only downside for this trip was their were a whole bunch of teens hanging around here for a local radio contest to try and win Justin Bieber tickets.

Ok, my mind is now blown. I said i was taking these home west of Little Rock (2 cups). Lady put them in a bag filled with ice. Bet you can guess I disagree with the "bad customer service" comment! These folks were great! And the desert was GREAT!

Ordered the Shake Concrete, it's like a Blizzard, but not as good. First time I've ever tried a frozen custard. I guess the difference between soft serve is that it has a higher content of egg and butterfat as well as less air. It satisfied my need for a milky cold dessert. But if you are near a Sonic, Dairy Queen, or Baskin Robbins or other dessert place go there and not here. I gave it a try because I thought that it's a local business and wanted to check it out, not some chain "restaurant." Won't be going there again. The service kind of sucked too in terms of friendliness. I never got a smile or "How are you?/Thank you, Come again. Enjoy." It was like me showing up to the window make their day miserable.
